I wouldn't bet on Keegan being here come the start of the season. You can say what you like about KK but if his mind/commitment isn't 100% on the job in hand he doesn't hang about. |

Martin O'Neill could turn to Stephen Carr, who has been released by Newcastle, after being priced out of a move for Porto full-back Jose Boswinga. So say the Daily Mirror |

Kevin Keegan's relationship with his employers at Newcastle has reached breaking point following disagreements over transfer targets and amid private concerns that executive director Dennis Wise is being lined up to succeed him as manager. IF THIS HAPPENS THERE WILL BE FUCKING RIOTS ON THE STREETS OF NEWCASTLE. DENIS WISE CAN FUCK OFF, THE GIMP! |

Taken from sportinglife.com Kevin Keegan will head for clear-the-air talks with Newcastle owner Mike Ashley on Friday after yet another eventful week on Tyneside. The city woke this morning to be greeted by headlines suggesting the 57-year-old has landed himself in hot water with his outburst about the gap between his club and the Barclays Premier League's big boys earlier this week. Keegan will head for a meeting with the billionaire and executive director (football) Dennis Wise tomorrow with speculation mounting that their relationship is becoming increasingly strained. The Magpies had planned to hold their pre-match press conference for Sunday's trip to Everton tomorrow lunchtime as usual, but hurriedly arranged it for today when the manager is certain to be quizzed on the latest development. Ashley sprang a major surprise in January when he persuaded the former England boss to return to St James' Park for his second spell in charge in the wake of Sam Allardyce's departure. Keegan revealed as he was unveiled that he had not been given guarantees about the cash he would be given to re-shape the squad, but was satisfied that he would receive significant backing. However, in the wake of Monday's 2-0 home defeat by Chelsea - Newcastle's first in eight attempts - he admitted that his side was "a million miles away" from competing with the Blues on a level playing field. Furthermore, he forecast that he could not be given enough money to break into the top four within the remaining three years of his current contract. His comments, which included a claim that the Premier League is in danger of becoming one of the most ``boring, but great'' leagues in the world, made a major splash, and have led to suggestions that he and Ashley are at loggerheads. Keegan admitted on Monday he does not know how much cash he will have to spend this summer, and rumours of his disquiet with the way the club is conducting its recruitment drive - he has passed his list of targets on to Wise and his team and is now awaiting developments - have been circulating for some time. Ashley, who has pumped #100million into the club since completing his |

Mike Ashley must be hopping mad and I wouldn't blame him if he sacked KK after his outburst on Monday night. |

I just read this on the interweb. He's a pretty smart fella this Roy Keane, for an Irishman like. Roy Keane has agreed with Kevin Keegan's assessment that it will be very difficult for anyone to break into the Premier League's top four. Keegan admitted this week that Newcastle were 'a million miles away' from challenging Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool. Keane also believes there is a huge gulf between the best sides in the division and the rest, and has voiced the opinion that even clubs with |

I agree with KK 100%,the premier league is getting boring thank's to the stranglehold of the big four..It is becoming a league within a league, leaving all the other club's to fight for scrap's..It's about time we capped transfer's or something of the like to give everyone a far chance.. As KK said we cannot afford or attract the really big names to get us into the big four..I feel the best way we can achieve this is to carry on signing TOP CLASS young up and coming player's as we seem to be doing...I mean it seem's to be working for Arsenal..In the mean time I'm sure we will be give sufficient fund's to strengthen the squad in the summer..... OUR LUCK MUST CHANGE SOMETIME!!!!! |
